Well it's certainly been a long time since we chatted here. The summer has gone from extremely wet in the spring to drought now. The extreme heat was a challenge as far as the garden and livestock go. But praise be to God, we all made it through.
The garden has been consuming my time the last month. Canning was at pitch fever but is ebbing a bit. I still need to can more potatoes and carrots. Next month we will be butchering and I will probably can between 70 and 100 pounds of beef. I am going to need some rest..I think it's called winter.
How are all of you? I am going to try hard to keep in communication daily. Please get after me if I don't!
